May I check out Library materials without my library card?
If you can provide appropriate identification (such as a driver's license), then you will be able to borrow any library materials.
Does the Library have tax forms?
The library maintains a yearly inventory of state and federal tax forms, however, it is at its most complete during the tax season - from February through April. If you would like to view tax forms online, click here for FEDERAL and STATE.
What is my pin number?
By default the library uses the last 4 digits of the phone number you have given the library as your home phone number. You may change your pin number at any time, we will be happy to assist you with this change.
Does the Library have WiFi access?
Yes, throughout the building.
Does the Library have computers with Internet access and/or Office Suite programs?
Yes, we have both. The library has computers available throughout the building for library card holders and visitors.
Does the Library have speakers available for local service groups, schools and other organizations?
Yes, the staff is willing to lend your group a guest speaker throughout the year when available. Schools, please contact the childrens department for tours of the library as needed.
Does the Library have quiet study rooms?
Yes, both individual and group study rooms. These are available on a first come first serve basis, or use our meeting room software to reserve a group study room.
How many books and other materials are in the Library's collection?
At present, Samuels Public Library has 74,000+ titles and 80,400+ volumes.
What if I have lost or damaged a book?
When you sign for your Library card, the information you receive explains that you are responsible for the items that are checked out on you card. If you lose or damage an item you will be responsible for the cost of replacement or repair, plus a $5 replacement processing fee. If you cannot pay for the item all at once, we are glad to work out a payment plan with you. So keep the communication lines open!
