Development Associate - Part-Time, 25 Hours a Week
$15 - $18 an hour, depending on qualifications.
This position requires a detail oriented person with plenty of computer savvy to help accurately oversee the donor database and provide proper recognition of all library donors. This person helps with the development and execution of solicitation plans for corporate, individual, and major-donor gifts, foundations and grants.
This position will provide general support in the implementation of development plans to help with the continued support of Samuels Library a nonprofit 501(c) (3). This position reports directly to the Library Director but needs the ability to work collaboratively with Board Committees, library staff, the Friends Board, and volunteers, to help continue to build strong individual, group, and community support from people of various backgrounds.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Need excellent writing, people and time-management skills along with comfort using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and donor software products. Prefer community ties or ability to quickly establish ties.
Prefer degree and/or education and/or experience equivalent to a BA and/or proven successful development and fundraising with a nonprofit organization.
