Emergency Preparedness

Join Rick Farrall from Warren County Fire and Rescue when he presents critical information about:

  • Basic individual emergency preparedness
  • Smart 911 system
  • Fire extinguishers and visible house numbers
  • Pets and emergencies
  • County emergency plans (emergency shelter and emergency communications)
  • Cost recovery (ambulance billing)

Rick Farrall is a retired military officer, and now a Firefighter/EMT. He is the Cost Recovery Manager for Warren County Fire and Rescue and the Deputy Emergency Manager for Warren County.

Hiking Through Winter Wonderlands

Susan Tschirhart and Golda Liebl will present tips on how to plan your winter hikes, including a description of winter hiking gear and essential safety items that should be carried. Join the Northern Shenandoah Valley Audubon Society and Sharon Fisher to celebrate the different types of birds that spend the winter in the Shenandoah Valley. Tips will be presented on how to identify common bird species along with advice on how to attract feathered friends to your backyard. In addition, a list of birding hot spots and techniques for photographing birds will be shared.
