Proctoring

Samuels Library is pleased to offer exam proctoring services to the public. This service is free, but patrons will be charged for any postage and/or printing costs.

If you are in need of a proctor, please contact the Adult Reference Desk at 540.635.3153 ext. 105 or reference@samuelslibrary.net - we can assess what you need and advise you on how to proceed.

Before You Schedule

Different educational institutions have different proctoring requirements - we can accomodate most, but not all, of these. It is up to the patron to contact their institution for the requirements and provide us with what we need to know to be an approved proctor.

Proctoring needs to be scheduled in advance - please keep in mind you must allow enough time for the approval process of your institution.

Proctoring is available during regular library hours, however please make sure that enough time is scheduled in case a technical or login issue delays the start of your exam. Library computers shut down automatically five minutes prior to closing, and library staff cannot stay after the library closes to fax test papers to your educational institution.
