A New Chapter for Samuels Public Library
—And Your Continued Impact
Thanks to the generosity, advocacy, and support of our community and beyond, Samuels Public Library is entering a new chapter.
In May 2026, Samuels Public Library and Warren County signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that provides County funding for the Library for a five-year term through June 30th, 2031. This important agreement allows us to move forward with greater stability and confidence in serving our community.
With the start of Fiscal Year 2027 on July 1st, we will officially close the Donor Emergency Fund, which was created during a time of uncertainty to help sustain library operations. Thanks to the generosity of our community and library supporters that helped us reach our goal and the successful outcome of the funding process, that immediate need has passed.

While the emergency has ended, the need for community support has not.
County funding remains flat, while the costs of books, resources, technology, operations, and programming continue to rise. Private donations help bridge that gap, allowing us to maintain the high-quality services our community relies on while continuing to grow and innovate.
Your ongoing support helps ensure that Samuels Library remains a welcoming place for learning, discovery, connection, and opportunity for everyone in our community. We are deeply grateful for your commitment during a critical period in the Library’s history, and we hope you’ll continue with us as we build the next chapter together.

Looking Ahead
As we move forward, donations previously directed to the Donor Emergency Fund will now support our General Donation Fund or other donor-designated purposes. General donations provide flexible support for library operations, technology, programs, and services wherever the need is greatest.
