Gratitude to Our Community

Monday, December 16th, 2024

Dear Patrons, Friends and Family,

We want to thank you for turning out by the hundreds to show your incredible support for Samuels Public Library, your library! You spoke eloquently at the Public Hearing last week on different aspects of the issue, attempting to make your voices heard. You sat for hours, you watched from home, you shared the news. Now you are offering encouragement to the staff through cards, cookies, donations and hugs during yet another challenging time in our history.

As we move forward, we will try to work constructively with county leadership while continuing to advocate for the best interests of the library. Though we are still processing the full implications of the recent decision, we will seek clarification on the responsibilities and direction of the newly established board. There are still many unanswered questions.

Meanwhile, we will continue providing essential resources, programs, and services for all residents, equally. Your unwavering dedication and belief in the value of our library have strengthened our resolve and reaffirmed our commitment to serving this community.

Donations, with messages of support, are coming in from all corners of Warren County, surrounding counties and even from across the country – 13 states and counting, and Canada. All donations to Samuels Public Library, restricted and unrestricted, stay with Samuels Public Library and will be used to provide services according to our mission and to act on your behalf.

Thank you once again for your continued support, trust, and patience. We will keep you informed as we navigate the path ahead—together.

With unwavering gratitude and hope,

Samuels Public Library Board of Trustees and Staff
